Eternal Security

In a real sense, Romans 8 is the conclusion of the Apostle Paul’s treatise on Salvation, answering the question, “How does God save sinners?” In Chapters 1-3, the whole world was shown condemned and lost in sin. In Chapters 3-5, the condemned sinners were seen as justified and declared righteous, if they believed on Jesus Christ. Then in Chapters 6 and 7 the method of sanctification was explained. The Climax, which is the focus of this series, is in Chapter 8.

Dead to Sin

How can a dead man sin? There is not a Christian who does not face this problem. We have been released from the guilt of sin; how can we be released from the power of sin?

The devil made me do it

Often you hear or read people say: “the devil made me do it.” This is not a new excuse. It is as old as man himself. It was the same reason that Eve gave in the Garden of Eden when she disobeyed God. Does the Devil really exist or is he just a universal excuse?

Who Needs the Gospel

The question is often asked: Who needs the Gospel? Why do we as Christians need to go out for Evangelism? Why do we not keep our faith to ourselves? Does God expect us to go witnessing and to whom? These and other related questions will engage our attention in this series. We shall draw our teaching from Paul's Epistle to the Romans.

A Royal Priesthood

Christ is our Great High Priest in Heaven, so that we on earth can be the priest of the otherwise lost world. This series is based on 1 Timothy 2:1-7

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle — I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying — a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

Christ our Great High Priest

This sermon series focuses on the glorious four verses in Hebrews 7: 25 -28
Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people’s, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.

The Armor of God

Ephesians 6:10-11
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

It is obviously important today that the Christian understands the full implication of this statement.  This sermon series draws from Ephesians 6: 10-18. It covers the call to spiritual battle and a detailed study of the “whole armour of God” which the Apostle Paul exhorted the Ephesian Christians and all other Christians to put on.
